At FRECOS spol. s r.o., we mainly deal with modifications of
technical fabrics for various industries.
We produce materials and develop solutions built directly according to
customer requirements. We cooperate with renowned Czech and foreign
suppliers of raw materials when implementing a solution.
We modify woven, non-woven and some knitted fabrics, from natural fibres
(cotton, wool, viscose), from synthetic fibres (polyester, polyamide,
nomex) and mixed fibres. We use our own or customer-supplied textile
materials.
We perform modifications exclusively on the basis of aqueous polymer
dispersions. We do not use any organic solvents or technologies that are
harmful to health and the environment during production.
History
Frecos spol. s r.o. is a company that dates back to the mid-20th century. It is directly related to the activities of the Otrokovice department of the Leather Research Institute, which deals with the development and production of synthetic materials, especially for the footwear and haberdashery industries. Over time, when social and economic changes took place, the company transformed itself first as part of Svit and then as Toma and later as the independent company Somat. Now it operates as the private company Frecos spol. s r.o.
In the past, the company was known for producing materials for sports shoes, such as synthetic velour for running shoes, polyurethane reversibly coated split leather for cross-country ski boots and leisure sports shoes, laminated polyamide fabric for hockey skating shoes or polyurethane poromeric foil laminated split leather for durable work shoes . These materials have always maintained a high quality with worldwide standards. However, some of these products are just a thing of the past.
The ability to develop and innovate technological solutions has been
preserved, thanks to our extensive know-how and the long-term experience
of our employees.
Gradually, as customer requirements changed, so did the structure of
products for technical textiles. The company currently specializes in
this area. It offers solutions from high-tech quality to so-called low-cost
technologies.
